JULY
This summer we are excited to offer a jam-packed calendar full of fun, fabulous programs. In order to ensure that the maximum number of children are able to attend these programs, we are instituting new program guidelines.
Admittedly these guidelines are more strict than those in the past, but we need to eliminate the time and money spent on programs for which people register but do not show. The Children’s Department has a limited program budget solely comprised of grants and funds raised by the Friends of the Library. When a family is a “no show” money is wasted. Not showing for a program also prevents another family from enjoying the program.
Thank you for your patience and for respecting library staff as they enforce these guidelines. If you have any questions please see Children’s Librarian Danielle Margarida.
