All libraries in the Old Colony Library Network (OCLN) moved to a new library system on April 30. While most services have been connected to the new system, please note that OCLN continues to test and troubleshoot issues. We will continue to provide updates here. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process.

Commonwealth Catalog is back online for patron use. OCLN is aware that some materials are being routed to incorrect library locations; this is being addressed with the system vendor.

Patron Accounts
OCLN is working with the system vendor to resolve the reading history problem. This is taking longer than anticipated.
Patrons should be receiving the following notices by email: holds ready for pickup, due date reminder, automatic renewal. Text message notifications are not yet available.

Libby/Overdrive: Patrons may now download content from the online Catalog (in the search bar choose “in Online Collection”).
NOTE: If you have already re-set your PIN/Password, you do not need to do so again.

hoopla: Patrons may now download content from the online Catalog (in the search bar choose “in Online Collection”).
If you see a message about your PIN follow instructions (below) within in your hoopla account”. NOTE: If you have already re-set your PIN/Password, you do not need to do so again.

Go to Settings | scroll down to LIBRARY CARD AND PIN | type PIN into “Library Card PIN (if applicable)” and Save.

Online Resources
Access and navigation from online Catalog or SPL website has changed. Please note that access to some* resources requires logging into your library account first.

SPL Mobile App Update:
The app is not showing correct account information for some patrons. We are working with OCLN and our app vendor. Until this is resolved, we recommend that patrons not use the app for these functions: Search the Catalog; Account Management; Digital Collections

To reconnect to the app, you may need to reset your library account PIN/Password. Follow these steps:
1. Go to the New Library Catalog.
2. Sign in using your library card number.
3. Click “Re-set my password” (please note this is now UPPERCASE).
4. You may reuse your previous password (PIN), as long as all letters are entered in uppercase.
Once your library password has been reset, you should be able to log back into the mobile app using your updated credentials.

PIN/Password (interchangeable) is now case-sensitive. If you have a PIN/Password that uses lower case letters, those letters have transitioned to uppercase.
Many traditional circulating materials, such as books, magazines and DVDs now circulate for a 21-day lending period.

All patrons are signed up for automatic renewal.
