Donate Books to the Friends

The Library will only accept donations a few weeks prior to the Friends’ Annual Used Book Sale in May.* The approved donation dates will be shared annually.

Otherwise, the Friends of the Sharon Public Library will accept donations year-round in the book bins at the Shaw’s Plaza on South Main Street (across from Kindercare); please review the donation guidelines for the book bins prior to donating.

The Friends are paid by the pound for all books donated in the bins, and the money raised funds the Library’s programming and museum passes.

Please note that the Sharon Public Library may not act as a depository for donations on behalf of any organization’s collection/drive; this includes nonprofit organizations.
